The main responsibilities of the Managing Director are: \\- Communication and admin support for 19 artist members and invited curators \\- Studio listings, viewing appointments, on-boarding, paperwork, studio visits, newsletter \\- Promotion for members and exhibitions via ongoing social media posts and website \\- Admin and production support on exhibitions and art projects \\- Promote and facilitate grant writing, photography, and promotional services for artists \\- Overseeing the biweekly cleaning professional, additional maintenance e.g., weekly trash \\- Check mail, purchase supplies \\- Manage gallery receptions facilitate sales \\- Develop procedures, guidelines, rules, and optimize handbooks \\- Select and invite curators to the studio visit program from the personal network The person taking the position will have the opportunity to grow with the company as we are currently expanding its offerings, improving administrative structures, and consolidating our curatorial program. Lots of communication and admin work can be done remotely and via email. What we are looking for: Degree in Art history or related field. Experience in working with artists and knowledge of the New York Artworld and press.
