Marketing Assistant Our newly formed space and defense company is part of an unparalleled, integrated supplier with over 800 employees working across five manufacturing campuses on the West Coast in the Aerospace Industry. We are in need of an AMAZING Marketing Assistant in El Monte, CA, that would contribute to the continued growth and success of our company. This full-time Monday - Friday position requires a combination of knowledge and skills in marketing campaigns and social media management. Occasional travel may be required. Salary is DOE Job Description: The primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Work with marketing team to manage brand and marketing initiatives • Develop new materials as needed to support business development activities and introduction of new products and services and other duties/projects as assigned • Create and maintain social media and website content • Develop reports for digital performance including website analytics • Assist with press release copy and distribution • Source and maintain inventory of branded merchandise • Database and spreadsheet management • Photography and photo re-touching/editing • Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to: follow-ups, shipping, organizing and distributing materials • Organize and attend trade shows Skills: • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high level attention to detail • Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment • Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities • Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills • Strong writing and copy-editing abilities Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s in Marketing, business or related field • 2+ years of experience in marketing • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook) • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) • Digital photography and video editing experience a plus **Please provide marketing/portfolio samples** (i.e. graphics, literature, press releases, social media and campaign ads etc.)
