Lead and assist on all aspects of marketing and communication strategies within the Office of the Arts, acting as the central project coordinator, support the department’s strategic vision for all marketing and communications efforts, facilitate collaboration between stakeholders, and ensure effective and timely delivery of all project deliverables. Your Key Responsibilities: Act as the central point of scheduling and trafficking for all marketing deliverables, maintaining an overarching view of department activities, needs, strategies, and deadlines, ensuring external and internal teams are aware of all activities Create and execute outreach initiatives both within Emerson College and with external prospects in the greater Boston area and beyond, facilitating partnerships to promote ArtsEmerson shows and activities Provide key support to Marketing and Communications Manager for development of messaging and writing of content for all marketing and communications platforms, both paid and organic, digital and print Process all requests for ticket donations, determine which are to be approved, and fulfill all deliverables due to the recipient Curate, manage, and publish to the ArtsEmerson blog, maintaining and delivering upon a forward-looking content calendar that supports established organizational marketing priorities Identify a slate of advantageous grassroots marketing upon approval of the plan, coordinate, and execute all scheduling, staffing, collateral and other details needed for leveraging each opportunity to its maximum potential In collaboration with Marketing and Communications Manager, coordinate and execute capture video content to support established organizational initiatives Hire and manage a team of 2-4 student employees by scheduling shifts, overseeing payroll reporting, and establishing and assigning work priorities Ensure the marketing calendar is up to date with all deadlines and events, communicating all important details to members of the staff as needed Maintain the department’s shared filing platform, organizing all working documents so that all staff have access to accurate and up-to-date information, as well as ensuring that all final documents, data and reporting is archived so that it is readily available as reference material Your Other Responsibilities: Participate in Office of the Arts equity and diversity initiatives, including leading and/or participating in working groups, trainings and office-wide conversations Schedule and facilitate periodic meetings, both in-person and virtual Coordinate with the Emerson College Communications and Marketing department as needed to ensure strategic alignment with initiatives within positional purview Identify important influencers whose brand aligns with that of ArtsEmerson, and collaborate with press representatives to develop a strategy for outreach, cultivation and partnership Related duties as required Your Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years or the equivalent of relevant experience Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline- driven environment Excellent writing and proofreading skills Highly organized, with strong attention to detail Thrives working collaboratively, but able to problem solve independently Customer service experience and ability to communicate with a diverse range of communities Facilitation training and/or excellent leadership skills Passion for the arts is essential; experience in the arts is preferred Nice to Have: Working knowledge of AudienceView or another ticketing platform Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, inDesign, Premiere Pro) Videography and photography experience Understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) Knowledge of the city of Boston and the state of Massachusetts Past administrative office experience, or equivalent, especially within an arts organization Work Environment: Usual office environment with regular work from home opportunities.
