If you’re a creative collaborator with experience in capturing and editing compelling imagery, we’re looking for you!Highlights of your roleHelp uphold the Marvin brand standards by carrying forward and continually advancing the editorial style of Marvin photography in both on-location and in-studio scenarios.Capture architectural shots of projects featuring Marvin windows and doors across the country (travel approximately 25% of time), portraitures of the people behind those projects, and evocative vignettes that showcase how natural light and fresh air moves throughout the space.Work with fellow members of the Marvin photo + video crew to help devise a plan that helps optimize the amount of available natural light when on location.In some cases, work as the sole photographer to document a space or capture detailed shots of a product in a studio setting.Determine and transport equipment necessary for each job including cameras and lighting.Cull down shots from each shoot from which the art director and creative lead make selects to populate various places and spaces, including brand print ads, the blog on Marvin.com, as well as Marvin dealer communications, to name a few.Retouch photos over a series of rounds with an expert eye and attention to detail to ensure they uphold the premium positioning of the Marvin brand.Help manage digital assets through an organized taxonomy system.Compensation$55,000 - $73,000 AnnuallyYou're a good fit if you have (or if you can)5-7 years of experience working in the field and in the studio.A strong portfolio showcasing compelling production and post-production/photo-correction abilities.Extensive knowledge of professional camera systems and settings and troubleshooting ability to resolve technical issues.Basic knowledge of lighting set-ups.Technical proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe CS, MAC OS, and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.An ability to translate creative vision and business objectives into final deliverables.Experience independently troubleshooting solutions when projects might have fallen off plan, demonstrating a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.A curiosity to document and share stories with an unwavering attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, initiating and facilitating discussions; communicating proactively and with a bias toward collaboration and efficient action.Flexibility in approach, especially in terms of problem-solving.Excellent project management skills with the ability to independently manage corresponding timelines.A curiosity to follow industry trends and new technology.We invite you to See Yourself at MarvinFrom people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
