Media Associate (Photographer & Videographer)

Lead all aspects of photography and video projects from concept through delivery, directing productions, and mentoring team members Attend VCS events to capture photography, videography, b-roll, and footage Produce and edit official video communications from the president and executive leadership Expert at video lighting for indoor interviews Collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and executive leadership across all levels of the school community Must be self-motivated, customer-service orientated, and flexible Independent problem solver who prioritizes the brand and tone/target audience of the project over personal style/preference Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of marketing principles and brand management Ability to make sound decisions and multitask effectively under pressure Positive response to leadership, instruction, and team collaboration Accept feedback/criticism, remaining confident and productive Punctual with strong time management skills Interact positively with other teammates, coworkers, and departments Foster creativity and contribute innovative ideas Communicate openly and honestly Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Film or Photography, or a related area of study Portrait and event photography & videography – willing to attend events outside normal working hours Experience in producing promotional and informational videos including incorporating animated text, graphics, and visual assets Minimum three years in media production or equivalent education, with a demonstrated track record of project leadership and strategic content creation; agency, corporate, or education background preferred bility to create and maintain a DAM (Canto) and online gallery (SlickPic) Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop, Microsoft/Outlook, Dropbox, and Google Workplace Deep knowledge of mirrorless and cinema camera bodies, lenses, stabilization rigs (gimbals), and field audio and lighting equipment and when to use each specific camera for the type of photography and videography needed Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Serve as a Christian role model and a consecrated Christian, dedicated to the purpose and goals of the Christian school. This position is generally performed during a regular 40-hour workweek, though occasional evening, weekend, or overtime hours may be required to support school events and deadlines.
