Medical Assistant for Research Department

Medical Assistant in Research The purpose of this position is to provide support to the research department at Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York in a certified medical assistant (MA) role. The candidate will be an essential member of a team investigating various interventions, including topical formulations, cosmetic injectables, lasers, and other-energy-based devices. Under direction of research leadership and the investigative team and following training, the candidate will be required to perform duties related to human clinical trial research. Specifically, the candidate will interact directly with subjects, including rooming and patient intake, informed consent discussions, intervention and follow-up visits, photography, telephone calls, emails, and scheduling. Other necessary skills include the ability to communicate effectively, work as a team member, display organizational efficiency, and adapt to new processes as necessary.
