Catlin Gabel School is looking for a Middle School Media Arts Teacher. The position is part of the Middle School Arts program and helps to serve the aim of exposing students to a wide range of media in order to foster the development of student identity as young artists, to encourage them to make connections between artistic expression, self, and the human experience, and to increase their ability to collaborate and work in groups. This position has the potential to be a full-time position by combining the role of videographer for the Communications Department of the school, if the candidate has the interest and demonstrated skills. Other duties may include: • Teach media art courses to grades 7 and 8 that include media like digital storytelling, photography, and video production as ways to understand how to create, analyze, and use art as a vehicle for expression of culture, identity, and ideas.
