The role also involves non-linear editing of video packages and VO/SOTs under deadline, ensuring visual storytelling that is accurate, ethical, and compelling. Proficiency in Broadcasting and Broadcast Television, with experience working in a fast-paced newsroom or live news environment.Strong Photography skills, including composition, lighting, and camera operation for both video and still images.Hands-on experience with Non-linear Editing systems to assemble news packages and other content under tight deadlines.Demonstrated Storytelling ability to visually convey clear, accurate, and engaging news stories across platforms.Working knowledge of ENG/EFP shooting, audio and lighting equipment, and safe field production practices.Ability to collaborate effectively with reporters and producers, while also working independently with minimal supervision.Strong time-management skills, reliability under deadline pressure, and flexibility to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as news demands.Familiarity with digital and social platforms for news distribution is preferred.Valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and ability to safely operate station vehicles.High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or formal training in broadcast journalism, communications, film, or a related field is a plus.
