Qualifications / Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience as a news photographerMust be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds of gearBilingual (English / Spanish) both written and verbalBachelor’s degree in Journalism and / or equivalent work experienceMust be willing to work in McAllen, TX AreaMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesMust be 18 years or olderBe available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requiredMust have valid driver’s licenseInterested candidates must submit a resume / CV on www.nbcunicareers.com to be consideredDesired Characteristics Thorough understanding of technology as it relates to non-linear editing and HD photographyProficient in HD lighting, HD videography, non-linear editing with Avid & Final Cut, Dalet editing, microwave truck operationsFamiliar with new technologies such as Live U transmission, Dejero, Go Pro cameras and Latakoo file sharing camera equipmentStrong understanding of computer / IT workflowsUnderstand File Transfer ProtocolsFamiliarity with social mediaAbility to provide written and visual content to the websiteKnowledge of Grass Valley Group Vibrint and Edius or other computer based editingTeam player and adaptive to flexible work environmentPositive work ethic and ability to work under tight deadlinesHigh degree of integrity and professionalismAdditional Information
