Job Summary/Description:

12 News is looking for a full-time photojournalist to join our news team. Were looking for someone who has a great eye for photography someone who can tell a story with video.

Duties/Responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):

Shoot and edit video of various news events for our daily news broadcasts
Operate high-tech multimedia equipment
Maintain assigned gear and drive a company vehicle
Must have excellent news judgment and journalism ethics
Must possess good organizational and time management skills
Must be willing to work longer hours and different days as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associate or bachelors degree in journalism communications film or related field
Experience in television news photography is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
Ability to operate a field camera editing and lighting equipment
Proficient in TVU technology & other mobile news gathering editing and sending back video/packages from the field
Ability to lift/carry equipment ranging from 35-50 lbs.
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
Must have a desire to win the ability to reflect on your work and apply feedback
Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
Self-starter with the ability to follow through on projects until completion.
Attention to detail along with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
Ability to represent station professionally/responsibly in the community and newsroom and on social media
