WGAL-TV, the NBC affiliate serving the Lancaster-Lebanon-Harrisburg-York, PA market, is seeking a Part-Time Photojournalist/Editor who is passionate about impactful, multi-platform storytelling through compelling visual media. We are looking for a self‑motivated, creative storyteller who can capture the essence of what’s happening in the field and deliver it seamlessly across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. Key skills include shooting with Sony XDCAM or similar ENG cameras, mobile‑first tools like iPhone and gimbals, and editing in Adobe Premiere or comparable platforms. Familiarity with ENG, SNG, and cellular “backpacks” (TVU, LiveU, etc.) Shoot and edit VOs, VO‑SOTs, and packages for broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms Create and adapt content for multi‑platform distribution, including TV, web, app, and social media Serve as show editor, cutting and attaching video content into a newscast rundown (ENPS proficiency is a bonus) Produce vertical and mobile‑first video optimized for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts Collaborate with the Assignment Desk, reporters, and producers to cover stories and meet deadlines Work with producers to bring editorial vision to life through strong visuals, sequencing, and natural sound Identify opportunities for real‑time social content and behind‑the‑scenes storytelling in the field Ensure all content meets journalistic, ethical, and brand standards across platforms
