Overview The Photographer I, Nightside/Weekend operates television or video cameras to record images or scenes for news reports. Responsibilities Cover general news assignments in a fast-paced newsgathering environment, utilizing electronic video camera, cell phone, editing equipment, and other equipment that may be relevant to a story Operate live ENG remote newsgathering equipment Be available for breaking news and respond quickly to breaking news Work overtime, extra hours; work several different shifts; work in all weather conditions Qualifications & Skills Strong understanding of various media formats and camera equipment College degree preferred Online link to work samples, including videography and editing, preferably in a news setting No still photography Additional Requirements Willingness to cross-train in other areas of news operations as needed Availability to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as job requires Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment Clean motor vehicle record, ability to drive, proof of insurance Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology Industries Broadcast Media Production and Distribution Augusta, GA job posting #J-18808-Ljbffr
