The role of a News Photographer at Mediapost involves capturing high-quality visual content for news reports, utilizing television or video cameras to record images or scenes. Key Responsibilities: • Capture compelling video footage for news broadcasts • Collaborate with colleagues to discuss assignments, logistics, and shot requirements • Set up, compose, and execute professional-looking video shots • Maintain and troubleshoot video equipment • Edit video clips for TV broadcasts and digital media • Operate live broadcast equipment in remote situations • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management Requirements & Skills: • Bachelor's degree equivalent • Fluent English communication skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • At least two years of experience operating video recording equipment • Proficiency with computer software, telephones, office equipment, and other technical tools • Able to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks • Flexibility to work varying shifts • Membership in IBEW Union is required Physical Demands & Work Environment: News Photographers must be able to perform physical demands such as standing, sitting, lifting equipment, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
