Purpose of the Position Mediabistro seeks a skilled multimedia journalist to shoot and edit video and sound segments. Strong writing skills are a plus, as the ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate complex stories both in front of and behind the camera. Key Responsibilities: • Shoot high-quality video and sound segments • Edit video and sound for broadcast and online platforms • Operate ENG live trucks to capture breaking news and weather events • Read and deliver scripts with confidence • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality • Collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve common goals • Adhere to a strict schedule and work varied shifts • Perform tasks that require physical stamina and mental focus • Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Required Qualifications: • A valid driver's license is required • Proficiency in computer software and applications • A degree in broadcasting, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • Familiarity with general principles of photojournalism • The ability to write and communicate effectively with the public • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and editing equipment • Dexterity and fine motor skills About This Role: This job summary is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, or working conditions associated with the position.
