The Newcomb Art department is one of the oldest art departments in the South, founded as part of the first degree-granting college for women in the U.S., and fully incorporated into Tulane University in 1987. We are searching for a collaborative faculty member in photography with the ability to teach the majority of the following areas: lighting, digital workflow, inkjet printing, film processing, scanning, B&W darkroom printing, alternative and hybrid photographic processes, cameraless photography, the evolving utilization of AI in image creation, and courses addressing issues of representation in historical and/or contemporary contexts. The Newcomb Art Department at Tulane University is devoted to the study and production of visual art within the context of Tulane University's strong tradition in the liberal arts.
