Nursery Inventory Manager

We grow a full line of plants including shade and flowering trees, shrubs
perennials, ferns, grasses, japanese maples, roses, groundcovers. Your job
will be managing field inventory staff doing data collection. The candidate
would have experience in a nursery. Familiar with grading plants. Keeping a on
going inventory based on ready dates of plants for production and sale.
Scheduled inventory by time of year and category of plant. Providing sales
with detailed information about plant quality, photos and counts. Job
responsibilities: • Scheduled inventory reporting • Management of field
inventory team • Cycle counts • Service Sales with detailed information about
plants, including quality, quantity, photos, and status. • Availability list
preparation, including comments. • Tagging Management • Inventory reports as
needed • Inventory data input management • Plant loss reports • Pot up
reports, input status change • Maintain movement records • Transfers • Keeping
inventory levels up to date at all locations • Assist in all areas as
requested by management Qualifications • 2 year minimum in nursery experience
• Knowledge in plant identification • 2 or 4 year degree in Accounting or
Horticulture or comparable work experience A plus • Spanish / English •
Photography • Better than average computer skills • Use of barcode scanner •
Detail oriented • Inventory experience in another field Benefits/Compensation
