Ophthalmic Technician

We are an Ophthalmology/Optometry practice in the Phoenix Metropolitan area who is looking for an experienced ophthalmic technician who is friendly, reliable, detail-oriented, and seeking long-term employment. We are looking for a qualified, motivated, and committed individual to join our team and provide excellent patient care. Ophthalmic Technicians are responsible for performing accurate medical testing and documentation in EHR, to allow for a proper diagnosis/treatment by the Running diagnostic equipment on patients to obtain accurate: Visual field Ocular coherence tomography (OCT) Auto-refraction Topography IOL master Fundus photography Anterior chamber photography Electroretinography (ERG) Visual evoked potential (VEP) Help maintain a smooth flow of patients to the physician Perform as an ophthalmic scribe Assist with pre-op examination or surgery paperwork as needed Review and instruct patients regarding medication usages Ensure all patient phone calls are returned by the end of each day Ensure all medication refills/prior authorizations via fax/telephone/or electronically are responded to by the end of each day Ensure all exam room and diagnostic equipment are cleaned and closed down by the end of each day Replace bulbs, check connections, and report any instrument or equipment repairs to Lead Ensure exam rooms and necessary clinic/office supplies are always stocked.
