Ophthalmic Technician

We are an Optometry practice in the West Valley area who is looking for an experienced ophthalmic technician who is friendly, reliable, detail-oriented, and seeking long-term employment. We are a busy, multi doctor practice with an optical shop within our premises, and see patients for their vision, medical, and cataract surgery needs. We are looking for a qualified, motivated, and committed individual to join our team and provide excellent patient care. Ophthalmic Technicians are responsible for performing accurate medical testing and documentation in EHR, to allow for a proper diagnosis/treatment by the OD. Essential Skills and Abilities: Excellent patient work-up times Excellent accuracy and attention detail Stays busy and follows through with assigned tasks in a timely manner, and does not avoid patient work-ups Excellent ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload Willingness to take on additional responsibilities Effectively communicates and is respectful to patients, staff, and outside vendors Team Player Takes constructive criticism without retaliation, holds self accountable, and learns from previous mistakes Excellent reliability Responsibilities: Perform accurate and consistent pretesting/documentation in EHR, which include: Checking VA Manually refracting Checking pupils/motility/confrontational visual fields Checking IOP with applanation or i.Care Dilating the patient.
