Responsibilities include: Record patient medical history and chief complaints, sterilize instruments, perform visual acuity, refractometry, fundus photography, OCT, visual fields, et cetera. Sometimes the doctors are in need of a scribe when they get behind, so you may be pulled from testing and screening patients to type what the doctors say into the patient charts.
