Ophthalmic Technician

SUMMARY: This position provides ophthalmology care; assists the physician on staff; assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems. Record health history of patients; updated medication list; note abnormal conditions for the physician; Contact pharmacies to order or refill prescriptions as instructed by the physician, document appropriately. Keep the physician informed of the patient's status. Return phone calls from patients in a timely manner per physician instruction, document appropriately. Ability to maintain quality control standards.
