Under direct supervision and order from a physician, optometrist and/or Department Administrator or designee, performs a variety of standard diagnostic tests of the eye, following established procedures and policies as an aid in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and visual disorders.Essential Responsibilities... - Performs keratometry measurements, interferometry, lensometry, and tonometry as needed. - Must have knowledge of photographical techniques to perform the following: - Fluorescein angiography in proper sequence and in stereo and color fundus photos in stereo. - Must have knowledge of basic functions of a 35-mm camera and its variable settings and capabilities of a Polaroid camera. - Must have knowledge of darkroom techniques to include processing and printing of film by manual method if digital camera not functioning and to perform processing if needed.
