Optometric Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide exceptional patient care clinically and by creating a customer/patient service experience that is phenomenal for each and every patient. Assist patients with contact lens education Administrative duties for this position include faxing, copying, making phone calls, preparing patients' medical records, scanning, and entering extensive data in the office's computer system. Occupational requirements for this position include the ability to see, hear, and speak clearly and distinctly. This position requires the ability to work extended or unusual hours to meet the occasional needs of the practice or in an emergency situation. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY Skills required of the Optometry Technician include: The ability to use and maintain a manual and automatic lensometer, autorefractor, phoropter, Goldman Tonometry, slit lamp, color vision plates, stereo vision test, OCT, Fundus Photography and personal computers.
