A private optometry practice is seeking a full-time optometric technician/optician for our Kenosha office. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality are a must. Skills can be taught, but personality can not. Responsibilities include: Take/update a detailed patient medical and ocular history Take a detailed chief complaint Sterilize instruments Complete a thorough assessment in a fast paced environment while demonstrating legendary customer service Perform visual acuity, cover test, color testing, refractometry, tonometry, lensometry, keratometry, fundus photography, OCT, topography, contact lens evaluations Communicating with doctor, staff and patients Guide patients through the selection process and sale completion for eyeglass purchases Take proper measurements for eyeglasses and complete digital orders with various labs Have at least 2 years experience as an optician While performing the above, you must: Always make the patient feel informed, aware and comfortable Provide legendary customer service Have internal motivation, a positive attitude and be extremely dependable.
