Optometry Technician

Located in San Diego, Orange and Riverside counties, we work to advance community health and hope by providing access to premier health services. **Responsibilities** * Responsible for conducting pre-testing and special testing for the following equipment and instruments: a) Pre-testing I - auto refraction, lensometry, tonometry and topography; 2) Pre-testing II - preliminary case history including current medical conditions; c) Visual acuities, dial in, phoropter, color vision and drop instillation; d) Special testing - visual fields, fundus photography, slit lamp photography, optec vision screener. * Perform screening for Occupational Health Services * Support the vision, mission and goals, and demonstrate a commitment to the values, of the organization * Perform other duties as directed **Qualifications** **_Minimum_** * High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum one year medical/optometry experience * Strong customer service skills * Bilingual English/Spanish * CPR certificate **_Preferred_** * Typing/data entry minimum 45 wpm * Experience in conducting pre-testing and special testing for the following equipment and instruments 1) Pre-testing I - auto refraction, lensometry, tonometry and topography.
