Optometry Technician

**Overview** Vista Community Clinic is a private, non-profit, multi-specialty outpatient clinic providing care in a comprehensive, high quality setting. Located in San Diego, Orange and Riverside counties, we work to advance community health and hope by providing access to premier health services. We are looking for dedicated, motivated, enthusiastic team players who want to make a difference in the community. **Responsibilities** * Responsible for conducting pre- testing and special testing for the following equipment and instruments: a) Pre-testing I – auto refraction, lensometry, tonometry and topography; 2) Pre- testing II – preliminary case history including current medical conditions; c) Visual acuities, dial in, phoropter, color vision and drop instillation; d) Special testing – visual fields, fundus photography, slit lamp photography, optec vision screener. * Perform screening for Occupational Health Services * Support the vision, mission and goals, and demonstrate a commitment to the values, of the organization * Perform other duties as directed **Qualifications** **_Minimum_** * High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum one year medical/optometry experience * Strong customer service skills * Bilingual English/Spanish * CPR certificate **_Preferred_** * Typing/data entry minimum 45 wpm * Experience in conducting pre-testing and special testing for the following equipment and instruments 1) Pre-testing I – auto refraction, lensometry, tonometry and topography.
