Paid Internship – Photography & Studio Assistant

I am looking for a part-time paid intern to assist with my personal fine art practice and my studio and equipment rental company, Seven Three Studio, based in Hancock Park, Los Angeles. The role is part-time, with flexible scheduling and time off. The ideal candidate should have: • Knowledge of film photography, particularly 120 medium format (Mamiya 6 and Mamiya 7 are used in my practice) • Skills in Photoshop and Lightroom • Some experience with InDesign • Knowledge of the history of photography • Strong opinions and critical thinking • Ability to think quickly and find solutions on the spot • Background knowledge of digital cameras (Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon R5 used in the studio) • Familiarity with Godox lighting equipment is beneficial, but training will be provided • Familiarity with Epson P5370 printers and Epson V850 scanners is beneficial, but training will be provided • A valid driver’s license is required • Comfortability around nude models and explicit visual content is necessary Day-to-day responsibilities include: • Assisting on photo shoots in both studio and on-location settings • Helping manage and organize studio equipment and rentals • Scanning film and preparing digital files for editing • Supporting post-production workflows in Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign • Printing fine art work for exhibition and clients • Assisting with studio upkeep and preparation for rentals or shoots • Helping with research and reference gathering for ongoing fine art projects For an understanding of my work and the studio, please visit lucavarano.com
