We work in an informal and collegial high-quality environment doing interesting, often exciting, non-cookie cutter work. Responsibilities include identifying and retrieving documents and information from government agencies; determining courtroom rules and procedures in state and federal courts; confirming filing requirements in state and federal courts; knowledge of and/or ability to identify relevant Court Rules; legal research (including Lexis, on-line resources and agency resources); assisting with collection, categorization, evaluation and production of discovery and/or other disclosure obligations; assisting with assembling of data and preparation of submissions to governmental agencies including site visits, photography, and creation of reports; formatting and proof reading documents; and drafting of documents and correspondence. The ability to complete mission-oriented tasks with minimum supervision is important.
