Allan Hancock College Santa Maria, CA 86.44 an hour Part-time The Photo program at Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria is seeking applications to develop a qualified pool of part-time faculty for possible vacancies. Positions are available as determined by need during the Fall and/or Spring semesters of the 2024-2025 academic years.nResponsibilities and duties may include teaching one or more subjects in the Photography program: History of Photography, Basic Photography, Materials and Processes, Color Photography, Commercial PhotographyPortrait Photography, and Digital Photography. Successful candidates will be able to provide evidence of a sensitivity to, understanding of, and the ability to manage the classroom environment AND effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIESn• Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.n• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.n• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.n• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.n• Teach all scheduled classes.n• Maintain accurate records.n• Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must meet one of the following criteria:n• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experiencen• Associates Degree AND six (6) years industry experience.n• Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to the above.
