Barberito Photographers is a leading school photography studio serving schools across Louisiana. If you love photography and enjoy being around kids, this is a great way to turn your camera skills into consistent paid work — with early finishes and a team that genuinely likes working together.

Who we're looking for. You don't need to be a professional, but you should have a real interest in photography and be comfortable behind a camera — whether that's portraits, events, sports, school/yearbook work, or just serious hobby shooting with a DSLR or mirrorless. We provide full paid training on our specific cameras, equipment, and workflow, so you'll learn our system on the job. We're looking for people who already enjoy the craft and want to get better at it.

One thing to know up front. This is a field job, not a studio job. It requires early-morning starts (on-site and ready by 7:30 AM), daily travel between schools in your own reliable vehicle, and dependability you can count on. What you'll do

Photograph students for headshots, sports, senior portraits, and cap-and-gown sessions (studio and on-location)
Create a fun, positive experience for every student
Set up and break down equipment at each school
Upload images on time and work as part of a field team
Represent Barberito Photographers professionally while traveling to schools across our service area

What we're looking for

Some photography experience or a genuine interest in the craft — portraits, events, sports, school/yearbook, or serious hobby shooting with a DSLR or mirrorless camera
Reliability you can count on — you show up early, every day
A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and willingness to drive between schools daily
Genuine availability for early-morning starts (this is non-negotiable)
Real enjoyment of working with children, with a patient, positive attitude
A high school diploma or GED
Clear communicator with a professional appearance (tattoos/piercings covered while working)
Comfortable with a PC and basic technology
Able to pass a background check
Bonus: familiarity with Photoshop or Lightroom

Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour

Typical schedule: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM (some evenings/weekends as needed)
Location: In-person at schools across Louisiana, with travel between locations
