Photo Assistant / Retoucher

Position: Photo Assistant / Retoucher The ideal candidate for this position has Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom experience and a sophisticated eye for color. - Problem solver - Prioritize, set and meet deadlines - Quick learner - Highly organized, attention to detail is an absolute must - Great communicator - Positive attitude - Hard working - Remains flexible, able to take direction - A keen eye for detail and brand consistency of imagery and color especially in skin tone - Above average working knowledge of Adobe product suite - Identify retouching limits, image issues and solutions - Technical knowledge of color profiles, color conversion and display calibration - Strong color correction skills especially skin tone - Ability to work quickly and efficiently and independently under tight deadlines - Answer incoming calls and promptly return messages via email or phone - Download Compact Flash & XQD cards, rename & meta data to all RAW files - Assist Mac Tech in basic backup procedures - Meet file deadlines - Maintain a high level of production - Prep files for ordering sessions - Prep files in Adobe Camera Raw for online galleries - Work client orders for print, web, cards - Upload images to lab via FTP - Make online galleries for clients - Client communications via email and phone - Work closely with our remote Mac Tech via chat/messenger assisting in basic tech - Answer phone calls - Meet and manage print/image deadlines - Light cleaning (trash, bathrooms, vacuum, etc) - Maintain proper file naming, metadata and image protocol for upload and archiving - Maintain and follow server image asset organization/proper file naming - Set up studio for photo shoot - Review prints from the lab for quality - Sort, pack and ship outgoing orders - Research and implement new techniques and skills - Working knowledge of basic portrait studio lighting - Calumet / Bowens Gemini Pro Lights, Pocket Wizards, Nikon Cameras/Lenses - Prep gear for photo sessions [studio and location] - Set up/clean up for studio photo session - Understand lighting basics, anticipate and resolve potential issues - Occasional photo assistant
