In this role, you will… • Work closely with the editorial team to source, select, and deliver images for specific products or licenses • Collaborate with the Digital Asset Manager to maintain and organize the digital archive, troubleshooting any inconsistencies • Oversee and manage the workflow of all incoming photo shoots, ensuring adherence to IPTC guidelines and new workflow strategies • Ensure all images meet the editorial standards and align with the publication's visual style and guidelines • Review and, if necessary, edit raw photo assignments to meet the needs of the editorial team • Communicate regularly with photographers and the broader editorial team to ensure timely delivery of all assets The ideal candidate: • Proven experience (5+ years) as a photo editor • Demonstrates proficiency in photo editing software and tools (PhotoShelter, Photo Mechanic, Photoshop, FTP, etc.) and a keen eye for selecting high-quality images with significant sport expertise • Is familiar with IPTC guidelines and best practices in handling digital assets • Has prior experience in an editorial role, with a strong understanding of the demands of production deadlines and the need for constant communication with the team • Possesses excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in maintaining and organizing digital archives • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously • Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and is comfortable working collaboratively within a team.
