This exciting opportunity to lead photo production operations for a massive enterprise retailer begins as a 3 month, W2 contract engagement based onsite at their photo studio in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood. Oversee the end-to-end daily flow of product photography, from sample arrival through final image delivery, ensuring everything stays on track and on schedulePartner with Production and Creative teams to plan and schedule shoots, confirming that products, talent, and resources are ready ahead of timePrioritize which products are photographed and when, based on shifting business needs and timelinesManage reshoot requests and image correction workflows, resolving issues quickly and escalating when necessaryMaintain and update internal photography guidelines that outline how different product types should be shotAct as the primary liaison between the photo studio and cross-functional partners in merchandising, digital, marketing, and post-productionEnsure finished assets are delivered to the right teams on time and meet established quality standardsAlign day-to-day photo priorities with broader seasonal and marketing goalsManage production tracking tools and reporting to give stakeholders clear visibility into pipeline statusOversee the asset publishing process to ensure product images go live accurately and on timeIdentify workflow inefficiencies and proactively bring forward improvementsSupport seasonal planning and help prepare the team for high-volume periods Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred4+ years of experience in photo production, project coordination, or eCommerce content operationsHands-on experience managing studio or on-figure photography workflowsBackground working alongside creative, marketing, or retail teamsFamiliarity with eCommerce content operations and product photography environmentsProficiency with project management and digital asset tracking toolsExceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail in high-volume, fast-moving settingsClear and confident communicator who can bridge creative, operational, and business-focused teamsProactive and solutions-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
