KTXL is looking for a photographer who can identify and capture stories in the fast-paced television news environment. You will be asked to identify stories, chase breaking news, troubleshoot on the fly, work well as a team, and push the boundaries of video production innovation. • Shoot video and gather news stories, either teamed up with a reporter or working on your own • Edit packages and VOSOTs in the field and at the station • Operate live cameras in the newsroom, studio, or remote locations • Have extensive knowledge of professional lighting, audio, video, cable maintenance, etc. • Gather factual information to support news stories • Maintain camera gear, light kits, vehicles, computers, edit systems, etc. FCPX or Adobe experience preferred • Experience with MacBook Pro desired • Must be able to work well under deadline pressure • Ability and willingness to write stories as needed • Be able to tell stories with both video and sound • Must be creative with strong editing skills • Must have attention to detail with great accuracy • Must have (or be able to acquire) a valid California driver's license • News is 24/7.
