Photographer (Family and Newborn)

We are hiring for two photography roles: Family Photographer & Newborn Photographer

Family Photographer:

We are looking for a fun, energetic, and outgoing team player who loves creating a lively, engaging environment. Our family photographers are “smile engineers” who build instant rapport, make people of all ages laugh, and turn sessions into unforgettable experiences. The ideal candidate is quick-thinking, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a strong can-do attitude.

Newborn Photographer:

We are looking for a calm, patient, and nurturing team player who can create a safe, peaceful experience for both baby and parents. Our newborn photographers excel at reading cues, working gently, and maintaining a soothing presence while capturing meaningful moments. This role requires strong attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to each baby’s unique needs.

We do not require any previous experience with a camera, just an openness and desire to learn and love photography! Many of our photographers had little to no experience with a camera before they become LaLa Photographers. We are happy to train the right people in our method!

Role Responsibilities

Family Photographer:

Directing photoshoots for families and children (typically 6 months +)
Creating a fun, engaging environment that brings out natural smiles and interactions
Staging/tear down of backdrops and sets; maintaining organization of props
Coordinating with the team to ensure a consistent customer experience
Communicating with clients to understand their vision and guide their session

Newborn Photographer:

Safely posing and photographing newborns with a calm, gentle approach
Creating a peaceful, soothing environment for both baby and parents
Staging/tear down of newborn setups; maintaining cleanliness and organization of wraps and props
Coordinating with the team to ensure a consistent customer experience
Communicating with parents to understand preferences while prioritizing baby’s comfort and safety

Shared Responsibilities:

Delivering a high-quality, memorable experience for every client
Maintaining strong communication and teamwork within the studio
Adapting to different session dynamics with professionalism and care

Skills Desired:

A high level of emotional intelligence, to be able to empathize, connect, and direct the subjects you will be working with during a shoot.
Openness/willingness to learn our method and practices.
A keen eye for staging and setting up backdrops for your photography sessions.
An ability to work well within a team environment.

We are hiring one part-time family photographer and one full-time newborn photographer. Both positions require a weekday and weekend availablity.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
