Photographer for Sibling Connections Camp

Sibling Connections is dedicated to supporting siblings who have been separated by the foster care system. Our week-long program, Camp Sibling Connections, takes place in August and invites over 100 youth to spend a week together with their siblings. This enriching experience includes various activities designed to strengthen and preserve sibling bonds, including a camp-wide birthday party where every child can exchange gifts with their siblings. We aim to provide all youth with a scrapbook full of photos from the camp week, as many of them do not have photographs from their past or current pictures with their siblings. Our mission is to offer these youth a safe, supportive environment where they can enjoy a normal childhood experience with their siblings.

We are currently seeking talented photographer(s) to join us in this rewarding volunteer opportunity! As a photographer in this role, you will be responsible for capturing candid and special moments between siblings throughout the week. With 120 youth attending camp, we aim to provide each child with 10-15 professional photos. Camp counselors will assist by taking photos during the day, which will also contribute to a memorable slideshow presented on the final evening of camp.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture photographs throughout the day, creating your own shooting schedule.Photograph each of the 6-8 family groups daily during activity blocks and special camp-wide events like the Birthday Party and Carnival.Submit daily digital files to ensure timely printing for participants.A private room and workspace will be provided for your use.Maintain confidentiality of all photos, which will remain the property of Sibling Connections.
