Colorado Front Range Seasonal Position with Long-Term Opportunity

SUGARlight Photography is looking for exceptional photographers who love working with children and families and want to be part of a team that values professionalism, quality, and customer experience.

This is not a beginner photography position.

We’re looking for photographers who can confidently walk into a busy school, connect with children of all ages, solve problems as they arise, create genuine expressions quickly, and consistently produce beautiful images while maintaining a calm, organized environment.

Our busiest seasons run:

August through early December
Late January through late May

Summer is our slower season, making this a great fit for photographers who enjoy a seasonal schedule while returning year after year as part of a long-term team.

What You’ll Do

Photograph preschool, elementary, and middle school students (Indoor and Outdoor)
Photograph Families and Children (Indoor and Outdoor)
Create authentic expressions and interactions with children
Manage lighting, posing, and image quality in fast-paced environments
Work closely with assistants, teachers, directors, and school administrators
Represent the SUGARlight brand with professionalism and positivity
Help create an organized, smooth, and enjoyable picture day experience

This position requires far more than technical photography skills. Success in this role depends on your ability to communicate, adapt, lead, and connect with people.

Required Qualifications

Professional photography experience with children and/or families
Strong portfolio demonstrating your work
Ability to confidently shoot in manual mode
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Experience directing and engaging children
Positive, professional attitude
Strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift, carry, and set up photography equipment
Availability from August 10 through December 4, including some weekends
Availability from late January through late May
Early morning weekday availability
