The WNT Photographer will be responsible for capturing and telling the story of our WNT players and staff through compelling imagery, highlighting The Best of U.S™. While this role is dedicated to the WNT, it operates as part of a centralized content function and will support broader Federation photography needs during key moments and priority initiatives. Primary ResponsibilitiesCapture high-quality photography of USWNT camps, matches, training sessions, and off-field momentsDeliver real-time and near real-time photo selects for distribution across social and owned platformsEdit, color correct, and optimize imagery for various formats, platforms, and audiencesCurate and deliver photo selects for U.S. Soccer’s photo licensing and sales partnerCollaborate with Social Media and Editorial teams to align on storytelling priorities and platform needsExecute content plans around camps and matches, ensuring full coverage of key moments and narrativesMaintain and organize photo assets within U.S. Soccer’s digital asset management systemConceptualize and contribute to new content series and storytelling approaches in collaboration with Content StrategySupport commercial initiatives through photography, including photo licensing, partner content, Insiders growth, and ticket salesStay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices in sports and editorial photographyTravel extensively with the team, including domestic and international travelCover other Federation events, camps and games as needed Requirements Minimum Qualifications5+ years of professional photography experience, preferably in sports or live event environmentsProven ability to capture high-quality imagery in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsStrong portfolio demonstrating storytelling through photographyExpertise in DSLR/mirrorless camera systems and professional lensesProficiency in Photo Mechanic (or equivalent), Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe PhotoshopFamiliarity with digital asset management systemsStrong understanding of photo composition, lighting, and color gradingAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlinesGeneral knowledge of soccerMust be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and missionProficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysWillingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationallyValid passport requiredDesired QualificationsExperience working with elite athletes or professional sports teamsUnderstanding of content optimization across social and digital platformsKnowledge of soccer and its global landscapeExperience capturing stylized, lifestyle photography
