Working closely with content, marketing, sponsorship, and production partners, the Photographer / Designer helps execute day-to-day content needs while ensuring creative excellence, brand consistency, and alignment with overall content strategy.OverviewThe Columbus Blue Jackets Photographer/Designer plays a hands-on creative and production role as part of the Blue Jackets holistic Media & Content team. This position is responsible for capturing, producing, and delivering high-quality visual content that supports digital, marketing, branding, and storytelling initiatives across the organization’s owned channels. Other duties may be assigned.Capture compelling photography-based content that tells the story of the Columbus Blue Jackets across games, practices, events, community initiatives, and business operationsTouch up and edit captured assets for use across social media, digital platforms, website, email, and marketing campaignsCollaborate daily with content, marketing, sponsorship, and production teams to execute content plans and deliverablesSupport real-time and quick-turn content needs in fast-paced and live event environmentsMaintain brand standards, visual consistency, and quality across all content deliverablesOrganize, archive, and manage photography assets within established workflows and systemsAssist with creative ideation and execution informed by platform best practices, trends, and performance optimization insightsCompetenciesJob Knowledge - Competent in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision; displays understanding of how job relates to others; uses resources effectively.Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
