JOB DETAILS Photographers Assistant $14 - $16 an hour Part-time Primary Job Location: 277 Fairfield Ave. Bridgeport, CT QUALIFICATIONS High School Graduate or equivalent An interest in photography is ideal but not required FULL JOB DESCRIPTION Our portrait studio is hiring a Photography Assistant. The position consists of prepping the studio for clients, welcoming clients, assisting with social media marketing, light blogging, assisting with photo sessions; lighting, carrying gear, and capturing behind-the-scenes video footage. Fun atmosphere and a great opportunity to learn a bit about photography. The candidate should have good writing skills, an outgoing personality, and consider themselves creative. You must: -Have reliable transportation -Be a team player -Have a positive attitude -Have a flexible schedule -Be willing to work occasional weekends -The ability to lift & carry up to 30lbs -Be comfortable working in tight spaces -A solid understanding of the Instagram and TikTok platforms Responsibilities: -Conducting mini- interviews of each client (using pre-selected questions) and completing a short 2-paragraph blog for our website, incorporating images from their session -Searching social media for REELS, and TIKTOK ideas/concepts based on current trends, then assisting to create them -Capture behind-the-scenes video and images during sessions, on a phone for reels and on a camera for marketing materials (training provided) Assist photographer: -Lighting Setups -Greeting clients -Logistical matters -Clean up/organizing -Available to work limited hours to start (2-4 hours per week) beginning early November, with an increase as business picks up.
