Photographers Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Photographer's Assistant to join our creative team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about children's photography, looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. The Photographer's Assistant will support the lead photographer in various tasks with an opportunity to move to a photography position in the future.

You will arrive at the designated childcare facility and assist in getting infants through 5-year-olds "picture ready." This includes wiping their faces, brushing hair, checking clothes and keeping the photographer organized with the list of names.

Pay varies depending on past photography experience and the possibility of wanting to move up to a photographer position. Minimum starting pay at $15.00 an hour.

Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading equipment – setting up equipment

Making sure children are safe and looking their best before pictures are taken.

Keeping children comfortable and happy

Must have reliable transportation

Must pass background check

Must be organized and able to multitask

Be able to talk respectfully to adults in the building and with your coworker.

Qualifications:

Must be high energy, positive attitude and bubbly personality

MUST LOVE KIDS and work well with adults

Must be an early riser - hours are roughly 6/6:30am-12/1pm Monday thru Friday

Days vary depending on schools scheduled – some variations exist with evenings

Must be able to physically lift children and be good with light physical activity for long periods of time
