Photographer/Videographer

**Overview:** The Photographer/Videographer is responsible for capturing still and/or video content for streaming services, storage media, and programming scheduled through the Owens OutComm Student Media Center (OSMC). This position is open exclusively to current students at Owens Community College who are eligible for Federal Work-Study. **Responsibilities:** • Assist with setup, operation, and tear down of cameras and lights for OSMC scheduled program shoots • Assist in preparation of media cards, mini DVs, DVDs, and/or CDs • Conduct trainings and meetings to help other OSMC volunteer staff • Assist in training OSMC staff in implementation of OSMC policies and procedures • Attend meetings as needed • Actively assist in OSMC integrated media projects • *Qualifications:** • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) * Experience in photography and videography • Understanding of basic photo/video camera operations • Understanding of social media • Familiarity with the College • Written and verbal communication skills • Computer skills • Willingness to learn new programs • Ability to demonstrate initiative, good judgment, and ability to make decisions independently • Meet deadlines • Organizational skills • Ability to manage several projects at once • *Benefits:** • Competitive hourly rate: $10.45-$12.50 • Union position with the United States of America (Non-Exempt) • FLSA Status: United States of America (Non-Exempt) • Grant Funded Position • Retirement System: SERS (Retirement System Classification)
