They pitch and develop visual ideas, capture photos and video, and gather supporting elements from public events, interviews and local settings. They also edit footage and images to produce compelling packages for the web, broadcast, radio and social platforms.They work closely with reporters, visual content producers and digital innovation specialists to create multi-platform projects that combine strong photography, video storytelling and audio. Student photographers/videographers are expected to follow AP Style for cutlines, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy through clear, well-documented visuals.This is real-world newsroom work that provides hands‑on experience in community journalism while building a professional portfolio.
