Photographic Specialist

The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is seeking a Photographic Specialist to be a part of one of the most highly regarded park systems in the country. The Fairfax County Park Authority is seeking a photographer to join their Marketing and Communications team in the Creative Services branch. Reporting to the Creative Services Branch Manager, this position works collaboratively across the Marketing and Communications team in identifying photo needs, conducting photo shoots, consistent event coverage including providing real-time publish-worthy photos at events for social media use, producing multimedia stories, maintaining a searchable archive of images, and selecting and placing photos for web, social and print. • Knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in photography; • Knowledge of relationship of photography to the development of instructional media materials; • Ability to make evaluative judgments regarding best method to use in taking a photograph; • Ability to supervise; • Ability to keep records; • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. • Should have some videography experience.
