Photography Assistant (Part-Time, Seasonal)

Spoiled Rotten Photography-Columbia is looking for a dependable, energetic Photography Assistant to help create beautiful preschool portraits throughout the Columbia, SC area.

This role is about much more than photography. You'll help create a fun, stress-free picture day by engaging with preschoolers, keeping them comfortable, and helping capture genuine expressions. If you love working with young children and have a positive attitude, we'd love to meet you!

Pay

$100 per session (typically 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

Schedule

Part-time, seasonal
Weekday mornings
Typically 2-3 mornings per week during busy seasons
Most sessions are approximately 5 hours

Responsibilities

Set up and break down photography equipment
Engage children and capture their attention during photo sessions
Straighten clothing, hair, and accessories
Assist with posing and preparing children for their portraits
Keep photo day running smoothly by assisting the photographer throughout the session
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Represent Spoiled Rotten Photography professionally with schools, teachers, parents, and children

Qualifications

Enjoy working with preschool-aged children
Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Reliable transportation to schools throughout the greater Columbia area
Able to stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment for several hours
Professional appearance and strong communication skills
Photography experience is not required. We'll train the right person.
