Photography Educator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled photography instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching professional photography and possess excellent communication skills. About the Job • Lecture and laboratory instruction in professional photography at various vocational levels; • Conduct classes, lab maintenance, equipment inventory, class preparation, office hours, and student evaluation and advisement; • Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position; • Duties may include evening and/or weekend assignments, on-line or off-campus classes, and large group instruction; Required Skills and Qualifications • A bachelor's degree AND two years of directly related professional experience; OR An associate degree AND six years of directly related professional experience; OR A valid California Community College credential; OR The equivalent education and/or experience; • Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students; Benefits The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including sick leave accrual based on assignment hours.
