Photography Instructor

**Overview:** The Art Program at Onondaga Community College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Photography courses as part of the Art degree program. Successful candidates will have a strong background in photography and the ability to teach students from diverse backgrounds. **Responsibilities:** • Teach Photography courses in a studio setting, including 3-hour studios that meet once a week or 1 hour 25-minute studios that meet twice a week • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the college's curriculum and goals • Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students • Assess student progress and performance • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades • *Qualifications:** • Master's Degree in Art with a concentration in photography from a regionally accredited college, university or foreign equivalency; or Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts degree with experience in drawing or painting • Professional experience working in drawing or painting (preferred) • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds • Prior college teaching experience (preferred) • Bilingual in English and Spanish (English and another language will be considered) • *Benefits:** • Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour • Eligibility to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System • Opportunities to teach a variety of courses and engage with students from diverse backgrounds • A supportive and collaborative work environment • Professional development opportunities
