Overview AARP is the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering people 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. With a nationwide presence, AARP strengthens communities and advocates for what matters most to the more than 100 million Americans 50-plus and their families health security, financial stability and personal fulfillment. Working across multiple print and digital AARP publications, you will contribute to an award-winning photo and design team, helping with everything from photo research to shoot production. Qualifications • Prospective interns must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, post-doctorate students, or continuing education programs • A portfolio should be included with your resume • The ideal candidate would be a hard worker eager to learn, who pays attention to detail, and who has a love for photography • Highly organized and self-motivated; able to multitask and work within set deadlines • Knowledge of photographers and photographic styles, with an eye for outstanding photography • Working knowledge of Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite programs • Experience with video, social media, and publishing is a plus
