Govs faculty and staff are committed to creating and cultivating an... intentionally diverse and inclusive community that allows students to learn from each other’s unique backgrounds and experiences, discover their passions, use their unique voices, and achieve academic and co-curricular excellence. • Teaching: • 4 sections of art classes, all with an emphasis on photography • Afternoon Program: • 2 seasons (athletics, performing arts, and/or community service) • Residential Life Program: dorm parenting or equivalent (if housed on campus) • Other: Serving as an advisor to students • Other: Multiple weekend duties to oversee and chaperone weekend activities • A demonstrated interest in social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion work • Participation in professional development as related to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion work. We are committed to creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive community that is physically and emotionally healthy. required Master of Fine Arts preferred; strong background in photography; experience in teaching in an independent school or college setting preferred; experience in coaching and/or playing interscholastic athletics and/or experience directing in the performing arts preferred; must be able to work collegially; must be committed to working in a diverse community and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations; must enjoy working with young people in a boarding school environment.
