Job Summary
The School Photographer/Videographer is the school’s lead visual storyteller. This role plays a central part in building and strengthening the school’s visual identity and public reputation. Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, the School Photographer/Videographer is responsible for capturing and producing high-quality photo and video content, supporting the visual storytelling needs of the school’s communications plan, and helping tell the school’s story in ways that connect with families and the broader community.
This position is ideal for a creative visual storyteller who is passionate about education, comfortable working with children, and eager to capture the benefits of flex-based learning and personalized learning. While we serve a wide region across Northern California, candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the greater Sacramento area and be available to travel frequently to school events and locations. Some assignments may take place in the early morning or evening.
Requirements / Qualifications
Hybrid - 40% in-person / 60% remote (Must reside in the greater Sacramento area and travel frequently to school events and locations)
Bachelor's degree in Photography, Film, Video Production, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Minimum two years of professional experience in photography, videography, digital media production, or a related field.
Experience working with children and families in educational, community, youth, or similar settings.
