Photojournalist/Editor

Requirements • 1-3 years of experience as a news photojournalist/editor preferred • Knowledge of Sony cameras is preferred, along with wireless microphones, TVU or Dejero live units • Having solid control of lighting different interviews, good composition is a plus • Experience with video editing software is preferred; knowledge of video editing using proper sequencing and audio levels • Working knowledge or operation of a live truck is a plus • Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events • Ability to create/edit material for on-air and web, while meeting deadlines • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, mornings, nightside, holidays and overtime as needed • Ability to be in on-call rotation • We put a premium on personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving and a strong work ethic • Ability to be open to feedback and coaching Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k).
